Should you use the charger your phone came with?

Most of the time—but not always—the charger that came bundled with your phone will fit the bill. As long as you’re using the right cable or the right wireless standard (and it’s difficult not to), you can use just about any charger with your phone.

Are USB plug sockets safe?

USB wall sockets installed in homes and other private locations will transfer data in the same way, but are much less open to being compromised and so are generally safe to use.

Can you use a USB as a charger?

To be able to charge with the USB Cable, you need to have the necessary USB drivers installed on your PC first. High speed charging is from what you plug wire into. You won’t have high speed charging if plug into the original usb type A brick which is 5watts.

In most cases this should be acceptable. Plugging USB devices into “smart” products such as laptops and tablets which monitor and control the output should, in theory, be safer than the use of wall sockets. However, as always, check the manufacturer’s instructions.
