Why didnt Dooku tell Anakin Palpatine was Sidious?

Dooku did know Palpatine was Sidious. As far as Anakin knew, Dooku was the Sith Lord who orchestrated the Clone Wars. Not to mention Anakin trusted and liked Palpatine so much, that he would have had a hard time believing he was a Sith Lord. Palpatine was a father figure to Anakin.

Yes he knew. In fact, if you read Luceno’s Darth Plagueis (a great read for insight into the background of Sheev Palpatine), Dooku probably knew that Palpatine was Sidious even back when he was still technically a Jedi.

Dooku didn’t realize Palpatine was Sidious until the moment Sidious told Anakin to kill him at the beginning of RoTS. I think at that moment Dooku realized he had just been a pawn in Palpatine’s plans for years.

Obi-Wan: No, that’s not possible. The Jedi would be aware of it. Count Dooku: The dark side of the Force has clouded their vision, my friend. What happened to Count Dooku’s vision?

By the battle of Coruscant, Dooku’s vision, like the Jedi’s, became clouded and he increasingly found himself relying upon Sidious’ confidence in the Great Plan… Until he found himself at the mercy of young Skywalker. This scene is actually the “I am your Father” of the prequels.
