Are Martin Guitars overpriced?

Martins are expensive because they are high quality and have a reputation for that quality. In my opinion they are over-priced though, and for the price of a good Martin you can buy a hand made one from a reputable luthier.

Are Taylor guitars better than Martins?

Taylors are generally known for having a very bright yet rich sound, with more clarity but perhaps less body than a Martin. The company is also praised for guitar-to-guitar consistency and build quality.

Why are solid wood guitars better?

A solid-top improves tone and volume, so even if the rest of the guitar is laminate, having a solid top is pretty cool and a sign of a nicer instrument that is usually at least one step up from the cheaper acoustics.

Are Martin guitars the best?
