I grew up wearing jock straps or even a protective cup for different activities and athletic supporters were part of normal athletic gear in the military. However, you don’t see them at track meets or road races. I don’t know of any elite runners that run in an athletic supporter.

Do you really need a workout supporter?

Not neccesarily, if you are doing it in a professional way you might need it because you can go wrong in the way you sit or do the workout. But if you’re doing it for regular healthy body, you don’t wanna have a supporter.
