Do you have to believe everything in the Bible to be Christian?

Christians believe that everything in the Bible is true. However, all of us in some point will have some flawed interpretations of it. Some worse than others and this can cause confusion for non-Christians. The more we study the better our understanding, but no one has a perfect understanding of it.

What are some things Christians do not do?

I am personally a member of The Church of Jesus Christ, so I have a bit more information on this one.

• No alcohol or drugs.
• Donate 10\% or more of your income to charity and the building up of the kingdom of God.
• Do not view pornography.
• Do not engage in same-sex relationships.
• Dedicate Sundays to the Lord.

Some people would claim it is possible, as the Progressive Christians do. However, being a Christian means believing Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity, God the Son, fully God and fully human. Believing the deity of Jesus is what makes a person a Christian, or ‘follower of Christ’.

Do true believers need to convert you to their religion?

True believers don’t need to convert you. True believers love you exactly how you are and would love to have you in their community simply because you want to be there. My suggestion is to be open and honest, not just about this but about everything.
