How does FasTrak work in Bay Area?

FasTrak CAV is a special toll tag—issued only to eligible clean air vehicles (CAVs)—that qualifies the vehicle for free or reduced tolls. The FasTrak CAV toll tag works at all toll bridges and in all Bay Area express lanes. It can also be used to pay for parking at San Francisco International Airport.

How much does it cost to open a FasTrak account?

There are no fees to open or to maintain a FasTrak account. As toll tags are leased, refundable security deposits do apply. The security deposit is $20 per toll tag. The deposit is refunded to you when you close your account and return the toll tag in good condition.
