College life is very different from high school life. It can be a lot more fun, but it’s also more demanding. You’ll have a lot more flexibility with your college classes, but a lot more responsibility as well. Some college professors don’t take roles or even require that you attend class.

Is it okay to change your college decision?

Lastly, don’t forget that everyone changes their minds. You’re no different than you were a few months ago, and college decisions are difficult. Stress can make rational people weird. It’s ok. So be human. If you can change your college decision, and it feels right in your head and heart, do it.

People or pets that are close to you may pass away. To deal with life changes in a totally different place takes an insane amount courage and strength. College teaches you how to cope with the combination of life changes and distance. You learn a lot about yourself.

In a place where you’re surrounded by humanity, you see other people struggling. You see other people who may seem fine on the surface, but underneath have family and personal issues just like you. Tons of college students have anxiety and try to deal with it everyday, but nobody talks about it.

Why do people make new friends in college?

With college, it’s a whole new ballgame. Away with the cliques and in with being friends with everyone. I’ve learned recently that when you come to college, you come in with a clean slate. You find new friends who enjoy being around you for you, not because you’re the head of a clique and want to be popular.
