What is equality? Equality is about ensuring that every individual has an equal opportunity to make the most of their lives and talents. It is also the belief that no one should have poorer life chances because of the way they were born, where they come from, what they believe, or whether they have a disability.

What is the difference of equality and equity?

Equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities. Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.

Will equality ever really exist?

Equality is the word that seems to be taking over news headlines all over the country these days. For many it is their goal to see the world living in harmony with everyone being “equal” and then life will be fair. But reality is equality will never exist. Equality can not exist. The idea of it, is irrational.

Should we forget the past to achieve equality?

If you are still expecting others to tread lightly around past issues you will never achieve equality. This in no way means you should forget the past, but it does mean that it is healthy to move forward from it. It is not until we treat ourselves as equals that we will ever have a chance to obtain equality.

Why do we need equalequality?

Equality would make such a big difference in our world, less shootings, less arguments, less racial comments, less discrimination. Our world would thrive. This change needs to be made now. For our future generations sake, and for ours.

Do we really want to be equal to a man?

If we truly desire to be equal to a man, then we cannot expect the same pleasantries that we have been receiving for decades: expecting to be paid for, talked to lightly, being assisted first. Some may say that all those things are just manners, but the truth is, something as mysterious and fleeting as equality needs to be all or nothing.
