The point of being alive is to stay alive. Nobody wants to die. Still we die. Death is inevitable for the body, but for the self there is no death. So the point of human existence is self-realization – to know God and one’s real self beyond the body and mind, and thus become deathless.

What gives meaning to life is death?

“Death is what gives life meaning, to know your days are numbered, your time is short.” This is a quote from a comic book movie (Doctor Strange, in case you’re curious), but that makes it neither less true nor less beautiful.

Further, our life in heaven will be made more complete, not less complete. If memory is part of our basic personality, it would be more likely that we would have a better memory of earthly life and see it from God’s perfect perspective rather than losing memories of earthly life.

What is the point of life without a purpose?

Life is meaningless without purpose. Finding that purpose is what one must do in order to feel fulfilled (I mean true purpose not just making a bunch of money and hating your job.) Your question of ‘Whats the point?’ is not something that anyone can answer but you!
