Do producers have to travel?
Producers must be able to work well under pressure. They may also have to travel often, either to film on location for a movie or TV show or to tour with a theater production. However, a producing a successful finished product can reap many rewards.
Why do movie producers have separate production companies for each movie?
Because every movie requires money. More the producers lesser the risk for each. Also bigger can be the budget. Also they pool in and create a seperate production company so that if the movie is at a loss it doesnt affect their parent company balance sheet.. Many more reasons.. They might also be friends.. 🙂

Producers are the ones who pitch the movie to studios (or their employer) in the hopes of securing financing, and thereafter managing said finances throughout the life of the production to make sure everything is delivered on time and on budget. Even once the movie is in the can, the financing duties still aren’t over.

A lot of movies get complicated. They may be shooting in New Zealand, Atlanta, Vancouver, London and Los Angeles. They may have six effects companies working on them. So they hire producers to watch over as many aspects as possible. One producer can NOT oversee what I just described.
