Why did Jesus go to the wilderness?

Matthew said Christ Jesus was baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit at the Jordan River. Then, the apostle said, the Savior was led by the Holy Spirit “into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.” Jesus fasted forty days and nights in the wilderness.

What do you have that God has not given you?

What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not? Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich!

When tempted God will give you a way out?

God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Why must we be alert against the Devil?

Therefore we must be alert because Satan will attack when we are not ready ( 1 Peter 5:8-9 ), we must know the devils antics ( 2 Cor. 2:11 ), and we must stand firm against the attacks and deceits of the devil. ( Eph. 6:11 ). God has not left us defenseless. He has given us an armor that we must know and wear at all times.

How will God get rid of the Devil?

In due time, Jehovah God will direct his resurrected Son to get rid of the Devil and undo all of his works. The Bible tells of the time when Christ “hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power.

What does the Devil want you to do?

The Devil will attempt to lure you to quick-fixes when you’re hurt and in pain. He wants you to believe he has all the answers, not God. If you are having problems in your relationship, he will feed you bad words and thoughts about that person to break the relationship down even more.

How did the Devil become the Devil?

Originally the one who became the Devil was a perfect spirit person, one of God’s angels. ( Job 1:6, 7) He made himself the Devil when he became obsessed with a selfish ambition to be worshipped by humans. So he challenged God’s right to rule, even insinuating that God does not deserve to be obeyed.
