If you have 4 Ram Slots and if you are using windows XP or 7 with more GB then it will use only one Stick. On the motherboard if you have 4 Ram slots they are mostly like 1,2,3,4 where 1 and 3 are same and 2 and 4 are one, most new motherboard have XMP slot which can be 1 and 3 or 2 and 4.

Why won’t my XMP boot in Windows 10?

Id try booting with one stick in a2 or b2, get into the bios, select the xmp profile/3000mhz, make sure the dram voltage is at 1.35v then boot into windows, shut back down, stick the other stick in a2 or b2, whichever slot you didnt use for the first stick, and try booting back up.. 09-23-2019 06:43 AM
